Wray McKinley Reid

Wray McKinley Reid, 69, of Ashburn passed away Monday, April 24, 2023.

 

Wray was born in Turner County on November 21, 1953 to the late Hoyt and Glynette Story Reid. He was an avid farmer and was awarded the Turner County Farmer Of The Year in 2014. Wray was a faithful member of High Hill Baptist Church where he served in various roles over the years. He enjoyed hunting and was also an accomplished guitar player enjoying all genres of music. Most of all, Wray was a family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paula Reid of Ashburn; daughter, Leigh (Chris) McCard of Ashburn; sons, Paul (Crystal) Reid of Ashburn and Tyler Reid of Ashburn; sister, Elaine Worley of Cordele; grandchildren, Reid McCard, Emma McCard, Lane Fiveash, Wraylan Reid, Coy Reid and Addy Reid.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at High Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
