William Bernis Daley

William Bernis Daley, 74, of Sycamore passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Tift Regional Hospital.

William was born on December 2, 1949 in New York to the late Jack and Clara Daley. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation where he worked as a Flagman. William was also a retired minister. He was also a member of Inaha Baptist Church. William loved Christian music. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very loving and gentle man who never met a stranger. William was lovingly known as “Wild Bill” by his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Daley of Sycamore; step-daughters, Wanda (Ben) McCurdy of Sycamore and Joyce (Donald) Jiles of Mobile, Alabama; step-son, Dale (Janie) DeBruhl of Aiken, South Carolina; brother, Robert Daley of Tifton; cousin, Sharon (Ron) Brooks of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. 

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
