Wesley Warren "Wes" Kelley

Wesley Warren “Wes” Kelley, 46, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Wes was born in Tifton to the late James Medford Kelley and Sandra Lee Pate Kelley. He was an electrician with IBEW Local 1531. Wes was very hardworking. In his spare time he could be found helping neighbors and friends with odd jobs. He was also a self-taught welder. Wes enjoyed hunting and fishing and was crafty as well. He enjoyed cooking and sharing food with family and friends. He would often deliver plates of food to his mother. Wes loved antiques and collecting them. Above all else, he was a family man who loved hard and was quick to forgive.

Wes is survived his wife, Christy Kelley of Ashburn; mother, Sandra Lee Kelley of Ashburn; daughters, Madison Kelley of Ridgeway, Virginia, Hannah (Tyler) Gudiswitz of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Allison (Tyler) McCrimmon of Fitzgerald; sons, Zachary (Rebecca) Harper of Fitzgerald and Caleb Harper of Fitzgerald; brother, Walt (Robin) Kelley of Ashburn; sister-in-law, Debbie Kelley of Adel; nieces, Laina (Kaleb) Pry and Kaitlyn (Luis) Tyson; great-niece, Marigold Pry. Wes is also survived by his grandchildren who lovingly gave nicknames to, Grayson “Bubbie” Harper, Lakelynn “Wilma” Harper, Braelynn “BB” Morton, Carter “Eyebrows” Gudiswitz, Natalie “Nat Bug” Hines, River “Chunky Monkey” McCrimmon and Blake Gudiswitz. He was also excited about the birth of a grandson later this year, Kayden Andrew Harper.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Brenda Sue and Tim Faircloth; cousins, Pate Faircloth and Lydia Faircloth; brother-in-law, Chris Fincher.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
