Vivian “Bitsy” King, 87, of Rebecca passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Crisp Regional Hospital.


Bitsy was born on December 18, 1936 in Tifton to the late William and Loyce Snow Bryan. She was a member of the Rebecca United Methodist Church. She was also the Office Manager for Dr. Christopher White, DDS for many years. Bitsy loved the beach and collecting seashells when she would visit. She also loved bird watching and music. Bitsy loved her family and was considered the “fun adult” by all the children. She was always up for an adventure with the kids. She enjoyed adult Bible journaling with intricately colored photos and pictures of her family. She was a sweet soul who will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends.


She is survived by her daughters, LouAnn (Austin) Shepherd of Carrollton and Kristina “Kristy” (Mick) Marr of Cumming; son, Daniel Thomas “Dan” (Marcy) King of Cordele; brother, Russell (Sue) Winter of FLowery Branch; brother-in-law, Lee Rivers. She is also survived by many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Adams “Jimmy” King; siblings, Billie Rivers, Janet (Kenneth) Cochran and Jimmy Winter.


Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Rebecca United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends in the church sanctuary immediately following the service.
