Virginia Baker Raines

Virginia Baker Raines, 101, of Ashburn passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her residence.

Virginia was born in Haralson County, Georgia on December 29, 1922 to the late Offie Franklin and Myrtie Lee Whisenhunt Baker. She, along with her husband George, were the owners of The New Yorker in Ashburn for many years. Virginia loved working in her yard and planting a vegetable and flower garden. She was a Christian.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Susan Speight of Ashburn; great-grandchildren, Reese Speight and Rayne Speight; brother, Harold Baker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her child, George Augustus Reinhardt, second husband, David Raines, daughter, Linda Ann Reinhardt Parrish and several siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
