Virginia Faye Shivers Wilson

Virginia Faye Shivers Wilson, 82, of Ashburn, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones and her caregiver, Barbara Atherton.
Faye was born on March 2, 1941 in Turner County, to the late J. Zeekes and Delena Houston Shivers. A life-time citizen of Turner County, she was a homemaker and also helped her husband at Raines Pharmacy for many years. Her hobbies included working in her yard, decorating her home, cooking and baking, spending time with her family and friends and doting over her beloved grandchildren. She was a long time member of Ashburn First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Wilson, as well as her sons, Jeff Wilson of Rebecca, and Michael (Robbie) Wilson of Rebecca. Faye is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessie (Zach Felts) of Tifton, Brooke (Thomas) Briggs of Moultrie, Rachel (Hunter Young) of Rebecca, and Jake Wilson of Rebecca. She is also survived by three sisters in law and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Shivers and James Shivers.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Ashburn First United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends in the church sanctuary beginning at 1:00PM. Interment following at Live Oak Cemetery.
