Thelma L. Massey

Thelma L. Massey, 73, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

Thelma was born in Fitzgerald on April 18, 1950 to the late Jessie Cleveland and Jesse Wylene Driver Hall. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Thelma loved taking care of her grandchildren and helping raise them. She loved to work in her yard and her garden.

She is survived by her sisters, Frances (Ronnie) Shivers of Ashburn, Nancy (William) Lamson of Rochelle and Peggy (David) Hardy of Albany; brothers, Ray Hall of Ashburn, Nathan (Darlene) Hall of Rebecca, Elvin (Brenda) Hall of Irwinville and Lee (Kim) Hall of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Willie Massey, Jr.; daughter, Charlotte Ann Brooks; siblings, Katherine Marie Swain and T. W. Hall.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2023 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca.
