Richard David Sellars

Richard David Sellars, 69, of Ashburn passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at his residence.

Richard was born in Turner County on August 25, 1956 to the late Robert Avery Sellars and Evelyn Sellars Mann. He was a self-employed carpenter. Richard was a simple man. He enjoyed fishing and being on the river. Richard also loved music and enjoyed grilling and traveling. Above all else, he was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Gail Castleberry of Atlanta and Rachael Bartlett of Ashburn; sister, Kathy Sellars of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Emma Shirah and Kayleigh Peretz and Daniel Peretz; great-grandchild, Zeppelin Watson; niece, Wendy (Jeff) Hall; nephew, Ryan Kennedy; aunt, Joanie Lorenzen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Sellars.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
