Martha Faye Mitchell Turner

Martha Faye Mitchell Turner, 56, of Sycamore passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Martha was born in Sumter County on June 19, 1969 to the late Robert Lee Mitchell and Margaret Faye Bullard Mitchell. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Martha enjoyed playing the drums and singing. She was always the life of the party. She also loved to sew, especially with her mother. She was affectionately known as Aunt Martha to everyone.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie Turner of Sycamore; mother, Margaret Faye Mitchell of Arabi; daughters, Amanda (Rick) Harrelson of Sycamore, Krystal Turner of Nashville and Cortney “Shayanne” (Austin) Roberts of Sycamore; son, Robert (Crystal) Raffield of Arabi; brothers, Sam (Jessie) Mitchell of Arabi, Calvin (Missy) Mitchell of Ashburn and Nelson (Tammy) Mitchell of Albany; grandchildren, Nathan, Jonah, Dalton, Kaysen, James, Caiden, Jaycee, Zoey, Marina, Maverick and Morgan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2025 at Christian Union Church of God with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2025 at Christian Union Church of God.
