Michael Kevin Miller

Michael “Kevin” Miller, 77, of Sycamore, Georgia, formerly of Lakeland, (Polk County) Florida passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at his residence in Sycamore. Kevin was born on June 1, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio to Richard and Betty Meade Miller.

Kevin has been a resident of Turner County for the past seven years. He retired from the Florida Department of Transportation after forty years of employment. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army where he received the National Defense Service Medal. While in the Army, he received his surveyor certification. Kevin was a member of the American Legion Post 98 and the Moose Lodge of Lakeland, Florida. He was a Moose Legionnaire and a Fellows Recipient. Kevin lived a great life and was known to be quite the character. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva Miller; sons, Michael Scott Miller and Jason Wesley (Michelle) Miller; daughter, Tanya-Lynn Amanda (Evans) Mitchell; four grandchildren, Kenneth Mitchell, Damien Miller, Kasey Miller, and Kori Miller. As well as other extended family members.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wendy Brown and a brother, Rick Miller.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Sycamore. The family will greet friends directly after the service.
