John David Nipper

John David Nipper, 60, of Arabi passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at his residence after a short illness.

John was born on November 13, 1965 in LaGrange to Johnny C. Nipper and the late Sarah Nelson Nipper. He was a self-employed truck driver and most recently worked for Southern Ag. John loved to hunt and fish. John enjoyed spending time with his family, singing and dancing.

John is survived by his father, Johnny C. Nipper of Arabi; three children, Amanda, Taylor and Jordan; sister, Kelly Lamb of Arabi; niece, Savannah Lamb; great-nephew, Blake Higginbotham; fiance, Rachelle Leger. He is also survived by several grandchildren and cousins.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mike Lamb and several cousins.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
