Hilda Rose Walker

Hilda Rose Walker, 89, of Thomas County passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman.

Hilda was born on February 21,1937 in Ashburn to the late Charles Almer and Louise McNair Rose. She was a florist having worked for many flower shops, but most recently Sunshine Cottage in Thomasville. She was a faithful member of First Methodist Church of Thomasville and enjoyed attending Sunday School. She enjoyed arts and crafts and flowers. Over the years, Hilda worked for many church daycares. Above all else, Hilda loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Tracy) Brown of Thomasville; son, Rev. Charles (Kathy) Walker of Leesport, Pennsylvania. Five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survived.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alvin Rose.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
