Evelyn Gordy McCard

Evelyn Gordy McCard, 95, of Leesburg, Florida, formerly of Albany, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at North Campus Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Leesburg, Florida.

Evelyn was born on October 8, 1928 in Louisville, Georgia to the late Robert and Ebbie Ganus Gordy. She was co-owner of a jewelry store with her husband, Hugh Jack McCard for many years. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Frank) M. Sasinowski of Herndon, Virginia; son, Ken (Grace) McCard of Leesburg, Florida; step-daughter, Jana (Carl) M. Collins of Lawrenceville. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Jack McCard, six brothers and two sisters.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Inaha Cemetery in Sycamore, Georgia.
