Edsal Franklin Jump

Edsal Franklin Jump, 87, of Ashburn passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Edsal was born in Macon on December 31, 1938 to the late Artis Franklin and Caulie Mae Gregory Jump. He retired from Delphi in Fitzgerald and was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and attended Harmony Baptist Church. Edsal also served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed playing golf.

Edsal is survived by his sons, Darron (Christina) Jump of Jackson, David Brewer of Ashburn and Danny Brewer of Ashburn; daughter, Carole Lewis (Jessie) of Ashburn; sisters, Diane Pace of Cochran and Linda Josey of Byron; grandchildren, Amanda Lewis, Gavin (Jordan) Jump and Preston Jump. He is also survived by one great-grandchild, Logan Jump and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a great-granddaughter to be born later this year.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 11, 2026 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, September 11, 2026 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
