Charlotte Ann Shepard

Charlotte Ann Royal Shepard, 81, of Jasper, Florida, formerly of Sycamore, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026 at the Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper, Florida.

Ann was born on September 10, 1945 in Sycamore to the late Henry and Charlotte Ray Royal. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and retired from the Turner County Board of Education where she was a paraprofessional for over 30 years. Ann loved vacationing at the beach. She could always be found with her chair in the sand and her feet in the water. She also enjoyed visiting Disney World. Ann would always find the good in everyone and always took care of people in need. Ann loved her family, especially her grandchildren whom she enjoyed spoiling. Affectionately known as Fafa, she was a grandmother to everyone. Ann also enjoyed keeping up with friends and family on Facebook and loved posting pictures. After the death of her brother, she was always there for her nephews, Robby and Chad Royal. Ann always had a smile on her face and was positive about everything. Her smile and positive personality will be missed by all those who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Leigh Ann (Ben) Norris of Jasper, Florida; grandchildren, Trey (Katie) Norris and Kaleigh (Andrew) Matson; nephews, Robby (Stephanie) Royal, Chad Royal and James Shepard; niece, Terrie Shepard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Shepard; brother, Billy Ray Royal; Nephew, Joey Shepard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Sycamore Baptist Church with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Sycamore Baptist Church.
