Charles R. Stepter, Jr.

Charles Raymond Stepter, Jr., 79, of Orlando, Florida passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Charles was born in Dallas, Texas on August 29, 1945 to the late Charles Raymond, Sr. and Gena Bell Baise Stepter. He served his country with honor in the United States Army doing two tours of duty in Vietnam from 1968-1969. Charles was an attorney and practiced law with Fishback Dominick Attorneys for 40 years. While practicing law, Charles won awards for his work as a guardian ad litem while helping children that were in need of legal representation. He also served as the attorney for Manheim Auto Auctions and the ABC Liquor Company. Charles is fondly remembered as a giving person. He was thoughtful, kind with a great sense of humor and always willing to help those in need. He would often volunteer at soup kitchens to help those less fortunate complete required paperwork. Charles had a beautiful soul and will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Lanneau Stepter of Orlando; sister-in-law, Kay Lanneau Putnal of Dry Branch; cousin, Eugene Stepter of Texas.

Funeral services will be held graveside at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.
