Chadwell Philip "Chad" Beard

Chadwell Philip “Chad” Beard, 63, of Ashburn passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Legacy Village in Tifton.

Chad was born on October 16, 1960 in Tifton to the late Charles Sharon, Sr. and Willene Culpepper Beard. He worked for the Georgia Department of Agriculture as a food inspector. Chad enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He graduated from ABAC with a music degree and from Georgia Southern University with an anthropology degree. Chad was an accomplished musician and he loved sharing his talent by playing for family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Gretchen (Brock) Roberts of Hawkinsville and Phoebe Beard of Tifton; sons, Forrest (Anna) Beard of Sycamore and Collin Beard of Tifton; brother, Charlie Beard of Sycamore; grandchildren, Brantley Johnson and Gannon Beard.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
