Carolyn Mauldin Griffin Troup

Carolyn Mauldin Griffin Troup, 87, of Sycamore passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 at her residence.

Carolyn was born in Turner County on June 14, 1938 to the late Arthur and Ruby Wood Mauldin. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was organist for many years. She was also a graduate of The University of Georgia.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Bruce) Bailey of Cordele; son, Brad (Darlene) Griffin of Sycamore; grandchildren, Brandon Griffin and Dr. Caroline (Tanner) Marlin; great-grandchild, Saylor Marlin. She is also survived by a special cousin, LaMerle (Sonny) Seagroves.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Cravey Griffin and Dean Troup.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Tamekia Quarterman, Elaine Whiddon, Tammy Tidwell and Tammy Middlebrooks.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church.
