Carl Harrison Ireland

Carl Harrison Ireland, 75, of Locust Grove passed away Monday, September 15, 2025 at his residence.

Carl was born on August 20, 1950 in Cordele to the late Carl Jackson Ireland and Betty Jean Lumpkin Ireland. He retired from Delta Airlines after 42 years. Carl was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynn Wilkerson Ireland of Locust Grove; mother, Betty Jean Lumpkin Ireland of Locust Grove; daughters, Katie Lynn (Chris) Medley of Locust Grove, Rebecca (Andy) Benefield of Jackson and Jacqueline (Chris) Mercer of Griffin; grandchildren, Colby Meredith, Tristan Meredith, Max Meredith, Cameron Medley, Coleman Medley, Harrison Benefield, Alexandria Benefield and Olivia Mercer.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Harmony Baptist Church. Private interment will follow. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
