Born November 29, 1944, in Tifton to the late Bryant Erastus, II and Valeria Cravey Smith, he lived a life that embodied hard work, dedication, and a deep sense of duty.
Ras was tireless in his career as a farmer, cultivating not just the land, but also the bonds he shared with those who surrounded him. In addition to his industrious spirit and military service, Ras was known for his passion for cars, particularly his enthusiasm for Notch Back Fox Body Mustangs. Conversations with him often gravitated toward his love of automobiles, reflecting his vibrant personality and joy for life.
