Brenda Colston Fortson

Brenda Colston Fortson, 75, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.

Brenda was born on October 1, 1950 in Rome, Georgia to the late Howard and Stella Brewer Colston. Brenda was a secretary having worked for Golden Peanut for many years before retiring. She was a faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church and loved attending and fellowshipping with her church family. Brenda enjoyed girls trips to the beach with her daughters and visiting the mountains with her husband. To know Brenda was to love her. She never met a stranger and would always greet everyone with a warm smile and conversation. She also loved to take pictures. Brenda loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is loved and will be missed by many special friends.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Ralph Fortson of Ashburn; daughters, Tracy Parker of Ashburn and Lesley (Russell) Miller of Macon; sons, Paul Fortson of Ashburn and Mark (Julie) Fortson of Chula; sister, Margaret (Robert) Logan of Canton; grandchildren, Alexis Goudeau, Neelie (Ethan) Mims, Nate Fortson, Lee Parker, Logan Parker, Russ Miller, Reid Miller and Anna Fortson. She is also survived by a great-grandchild, Palmer Fortson, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Colston.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
