Brenda Wynelle Cooper

Brenda Wynelle Cooper, 76, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at her home.

Wynelle was born on September 29, 1946 in Tifton to the late Harold and Abbie Jane White Ethridge. Wynelle was a Registered Nurse having worked at Tift Regional Medical Center as well as Phoebe-Worth Hospital. She was a member of High Hill Baptist Church. Wynelle loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting and reading. She enjoyed cooking but especially the vegetables grown in her husband’s garden.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry Cooper; daughters, Mika (Robby) Cauthen of Ashburn and Christina (Darron) Jump of Jackson and Damaris (Douglas) Heinlein ; son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Cooper of Berkeley Lake; sister, Debbie (Junior) Lewis of Rebecca; grandchildren, Jonathan (Jessica) Cooper, Olivia Cooper, Timothy Cooper, Andy (Elizabeth) Cauthen, Alex (Madison) Cauthen, Gavin Jump and Preston Jump; great-grandchildren, Riley Cooper, Madi Cauthen, Luke Cauthen, Cooper Cauthen and Sam Criswell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Harold Ethridge, Jr. and grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooper and Julia Cooper

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2023 at Harmony Baptist Church. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

The family requests that donations be made to Harmony Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.
