Bobby Shault Coker

Bobby Shault Coker, 87, of Sycamore passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at his residence. 

 

Bobby was born on July 20, 1935 to the late Bob and Lois Christian Coker. He retired as a service manager at All-American Mobile Homes and formerly worked for Wal-Mart delivering photos, medicine, and jewelry. Some notable accomplishments while employed by Wal-Mart include being named the “Driver of the Year”. During that year, Bobby drove over 900,000 miles with no accidents. A proud veteran, Bobby served his country with honor in the United States Army. He loved to spend his time fishing and was great at it.  Bobby was known for being a loving and caring person with a great sense of humor. Bobby enjoyed sharing stories to all who would listen. He was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sycamore.  

 

He is survived by the love of his life and his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Jean Coker of Sycamore; son, Daniel Stephen Coker and his wife, Karen of Canton; sister, Laura Wiggins Coker of Perry; and grandchildren Matthew Ashton Bennett and Steven William Coker. 

 

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, John N. Coker. 

 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Prospect Cemetery in Sycamore. The family will greet friends on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, GA.
