Betty Wanda Cooper Durden, 83, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Palm Bay Memorial Care in Palm Bay, FL.

 

Wanda was born in Turner County, GA on December 8, 1938, to the late William Richard and Bonnie Lucille (Edge) Cooper. She was a homemaker and had also worked for Barnes Electric in Ashburn, GA. Wanda loved to sing and also enjoyed gardening and especially loved flowers. She was a member of High Hill Baptist Church.

 

She is survived by her sons, George Franklin Durden (Linda) of Sylva, NC., William Leon (Pamela) Irvin of Palm Bay, FL., daughters, Clarine (David) Murdock of Perkinston, MS., and Thresia Lynn (Keith) Paquet of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by her brother, Earl Ray Cooper of Tifton and her sister, Brenda (Gerry) Faircloth of Chattahoochee, FL, as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Eugene Irvin, her second husband, Wade Elmer Durden, as well as sons, Edward Eugene Irvin and Allen Keith Irvin, and a grandson, George Jeremy Durden. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of services. Interment will be private.
