Belva Rae Kennedy

Belva Rae Kennedy, 89, of Ashburn, Georgia passed away on February 11, 2026, after a short illness.

The daughter of the late John and Leota Weese Blatt, she was born in Peck, Michigan. Belva graduated Valedictorian from Peck High School in 1954. After high school she continued her studies at secretarial school in Port Huron, Michigan. She married Rex Kennedy in 1958. Belva and Rex owned and operated Arabi Homes, Inc. in Arabi, Georgia.

Belva was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Duane Blatt and his wife, Nina, along with her mother and father-in-law, Donald and Frances Booker Kennedy of Ubly, Michigan. Rex and Belva were married for 56 years before his passing. Together they raised a beautiful white poodle, Suzy, who they loved very much.

Belva is survived by her sister, Sharon Williamson (Sebewaing, MI) and sister-in-law, Janet Kennedy Adler (Palmetto, FL) and several nieces and nephews.
