John Lewis Harrell

Funeral services for John Lewis Harrell, 75 , Rebecca, Ga. will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca, Ga. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Harrell died Thursday at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Harrell was born in Ben Hill County, Ga. and was the son of the late John A. and Susie Mae Garner Harrell. He retired at the age of 72 from the mobile home Manufacturer Homestead Homes of Cordele, Ga. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca, Ga. His hobbies were gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Eugene Harrell.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Lewis Harrell, Rebecca, Ga., two sons, John T. (Heather) Harrell, Wray, Ga. and Donald W. Harrell, Cordele, Ga.; two daughters, Beverly D. (Eugene) Murphy, Rebecca, Ga. and Janet L. (J.R.) Minshew, Rebecca, Ga. Also surviving are two sisters, Juanita Handley, Butler, Ga. and Stella Mae Williamson, Fitzgerald, Ga.; eighteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 1, 2011, from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
