Hazel Bertha Searcy

Funeral services for Hazel Bertha Clements Searcy, 99, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sycamore Methodist Church with burial to follow in Prospect Cemetery, Sycamore, Ga. Mrs. Searcy died Saturday at Tift Health Care following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Searcy was born in Turner County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Rubin Walton Clements and Cinnie Wynn Clements. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sycamore Methodist Church. She was the widow of William G. Searcy. She was preceded in death by one son, Rev. Billy Searcy

She is survived by three grandchildren, Leigh Ann Lewis, Albany, Ga., Dawn S. Swanson, Pine Mountain, Ga., and W. Christopher Searcy, Albany, Ga. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law of 33 years, Laverne Searcy Thompson, Leesburg, Ga. and one sister Marylin Petterson, Tifton, Ga. and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Sunday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
