Funeral Services for Henry Richard “H. R.” Wiggins, age 86, of Ashburn will be held Saturday at 3:00 P. M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with entombment at Snowridge Cemetery. Mr. Wiggins died October 14, 2010 at his residence after a short illness.

Mr. Wiggins was born in Winter Park, Florida, the son of the late Thomas R. and Arthur Clyde Bailey and had been a resident of Turner County all of his life. He was a Cattleman and President of Turner County Stock Yards. He was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church and was ordained as a Deacon at age nineteen. He was the last living charter member and past president of the Ashburn Club of Rotary International where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He was Turner County Citizen of the Year in 1989 and Turner County Stockyards was named Industry of the Year in 2000. He was past president of Ga. Livestock Market Association and a member of the National Livestock Association.

Survivors include his wife Frankie Ireland Wiggins, Ashburn, his children Roy & Deborah Wiggins, Ashburn, Dale & Karen Wiggins, College, Park, Ga. & Carline & Frank Bodiford, Tifton, Ga. and Linda & James Williford, Sycamore, Ga. Eleven Grandchildren and Eighteen Great-Grandchildren with the Nineteenth Great Grandchild to be born in November, and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 P. M. until time of services at Perry Funeral Chapel.

Flowers will be accepted but, for those who wish donations. may be made to the Ga Sheriffs Boys Ranch, American Cancer Society or Ashburn First Baptist Church.
