Frances Hogan Hobby

Funeral services for Frances Hogan Hobby, 88, of Rebecca, GA will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca. Mrs. Hobby passed away Sunday following a lengthy illness. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The daughter of the late William Thomas and Ludie Yarbrough Hogan, she was born in Rebecca. She was a member of The Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she was the Director of Music for many years. She was a retired dietician from Ashburn Health Care and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was the widow of Archie Lawson Hobby.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Hobby, Ashburn; her sons, William F. “Billy” (Katie) Hobby, Lawson (Anne) Hobby all of Rebecca and Wayne (Beverly) Hobby, Ashburn. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and her sister, Hilda H. Cox, Dawsonville, GA.

The family will receive friends Monday evening at Perry Funeral Chapel from seven until nine.
