Funeral services for Robert “Bobby” Leon Holloway, Sr., 69, of Smoak Bridge Road, Warwick, Ga. will be held at the Warwick United Methodist Church, Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 2:30 PM with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca, Ga. Mr. Holloway died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 while on an Alaskan cruise while celebrating his 48 wedding anniversary.

Mr. Holloway was born in Bonneau, South Carolina and was a long time resident of Rebecca, Ga. before moving to Warwick, GA in 1983.

He was the son of the late Robert Allen and Edith Stanford Holloway. He was the operator of D & H Motors Inc. in Cordele. He was a member of the Warwick United Methodist Church where he was an active member, Sunday School teacher and served on various committees. He was a member of the Sylvester Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Navy and loved boating the River, grilling various foods for his family and his church family and traveling the country.

Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife, Betty Stubbs Holloway, Warwick, Ga., two sons and daughters in law, Robert L. & Teresa Holloway, Jr., Cordele, GA and Allen & Ann Holloway, Arabi, GA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kevin Holloway, Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi. Ms., Christopher (Christy) Holloway, Camp Lejeune, N. C., Leigh Anna (Randy) Grimes, Christin Nicole “Nikki” Holloway both of Cordele, Ga. two great grandchildren, Jasmine Clack, Cordele, Ga., and Ashden Holloway, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Also surviving is one brother, Carl ‘Stan” (Joan) Holloway, Rebecca, Ga. and one sister, Sharon Joy Holloway, Tifton, Georgia.

The family will receive friends and family, Saturday, August 28, 2010 from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, GA.
