Daisy Minshew

Graveside funeral services for Daisy Wood Minshew, 73, of Rebecca, GA will be held, Sunday, June 13, at 2:30 PM in the Young’s Cemetery in Ben Hill Co., GA. Mrs. Minshew passed away Friday at Tift Regional Hospital.

The daughter of the late Mason Thomas and Ruth Naomi Ivey Wood, she was born in Rebecca and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Fitzgerald Underwear and enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. She was the widow of Mr. I. P. Minshew, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Head.

Survivors include her daughters and son in laws, Gail and Steve Willis, Pine Harbor, GA and Melody and Jack Hannah, Fitzgerald, GA. Her sister, Betty Cleghorn, Tifton, GA. Her brothers, Ivey Wood, Woodstock, GA., Melvin Wood, Conyers, GA, James Wood, Palmetto, GA and Mack Wood, Riverdale, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chad (Dannielle) Hannah, Jacksonville, FL, Nick (Kellie) Willis and Jonathan Willis all of Tifton, GA and Jai Hannah, Rebecca, GA and a great-grandson Levi Hannah, Jacksonville, FL.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn.
