Wayne Kennedy

Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Kennedy, 74 of Chula, GA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 7, 2010 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mr. Kennedy passed away Saturday at an Albany Hospital following a short illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.

Mr. Kennedy was born in Bowling Green, FL to the late William Newton and Bannie Elizabeth Price Kennedy and was a retired farmer and salesman. He served his country in The National Guard. Mr. Kennedy was a long time resident of Turner Co. before moving to Chula in 2008. He loved crossword puzzles and fellowship with his many friends. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church and was a longtime member of The Sycamore Lodge F @ AM #210 in Ashburn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hendricks Kennedy, Chula, GA; his son and daughter in law, Bubba and Jessica Kennedy, Sumner, GA; his grandchildren, Zach and Christie Kennedy, Sumner, GA, Alex Kennedy and Stephanie Davis, Chula, GA, Hunter Faulk, Flint Faulk, Julian Faulk and his great grandchildren, Allie and Cohen Kennedy all of Sumner, GA; his brothers, David Kennedy, Thomasville, GA, Jack Kennedy, Berrien Co., GA and Earl Kennedy, Orlando, FL.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4 until 6 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
