Loney Williams

Funeral Services for Mrs. Loney Williams, 84, of Ashburn, Ga. will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006 at the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Williams passed away Sunday at her residence following a lengthy illness.

The daughter of the late Jeremiah Ellis and Nettie Mae Lumpkin Ward, she was born in Turner Co. She was retired from the Manhattan Shirt Co. and was a member of the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed her quilting, sewing, working in her yards, garden and putting puzzles together. Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew C. Willingham and a great-grandson Hunter B. Watson.

She is survived by her husband, Carlton G. “Bud” Williams, Ashburn; her children, Jimmy (Linda) Walker, Ashburn, Steve Williams, Tyty, Allen Williams, Irwinville, Brenda (Charles) Willingham, Ashburn, Ann (Allen) Lavender, Ashburn, Cheryl Hutto, Dothan, AL., Lisa Springer, Fayetteville, NC; Seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:30.
