Bobby Kennis Hamner, 80, of Sycamore, Georgia passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at his residence.
Bobby was born in Sparks, Georgia on August 17, 1941 to the late Ernest Hugh and Alma Louise McCranie Hamner. He was a member of Concord Primitive Baptist Church. Bobby was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved to fish and recently competed in his first bass fishing tournament with his son, Stacey. Although he did not win the tournament, he caught the largest fish, which he enjoyed bragging about to everyone he met. He was also a die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan. He loved his job as a salesman at Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram; where he was the first to arrive and the last to leave. He enjoyed meeting and talking to people everywhere he went.
He is survived by his children, Tonya (Danny) Payne of Hahira, Georgia, Stacey (Missy) Hamner of Huntsville, Alabama and Katrina (Mason) Perry of Karnack, Texas. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Sherrell (Franklin) Luke and Jerry (Sharon) Hamner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 29, 2022 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Concord Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparks. The family will greet friends Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
