Karen Black, 60, of Pearson passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at her residence.
Karen was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 1, 1961 to Buck Charles Morris and the late Mary Ann Smith Morris. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. Karen enjoyed trips to the mountains and her wish was to travel the country with her husband, Ray.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Black of Pearson; father, Buck Charles Morris of Douglas; daughter, Crystal Renee Black of Pearson; son, Rocky (Kelly) Black of Pearson; sisters, Cynthia Diane (James) Moss of Jackson, Louisiana, Rose Mary Morris of Pearson, Connie Sue (John) Aikens of Tallahassee, Florida and Theresa Christine (Chad) Whittington of Pearson; grandchildren, Cheyenne Odom, Christy Steele, Cole Steele, Desirea Thigpen and Jayden Taft.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
