Lola Barfield, 91, of Ashburn passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn.
Lola was born on March 2, 1930 in Dooly County to the late John and Mattie Essie Lockerman. She worked at Jacos Pants Factory and Blackwell Florist for many years. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. Lola loved spending her time watching the Atlanta Braves. She also enjoyed gardening and loved to cook. She loved her family, but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie (Tina) Barfield of Ashburn and Randy (Nancy) Barfield of Ft. Loramie, Ohio; grandchildren, Erik (Jana) Barfield, Amy Barfield (Jeremy) Sanders and Teresa Barfield (Rob) Pinegar. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Culmer Randall Barfield, daughter, Ann Barfield and her siblings, John, William, Irma, Warren, Elvie, Ima, and Walter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 28, 2022 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of services Friday. Everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear and mask and maintain social distance. There will also be a public time viewing from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Thursday, January 27, 2022 for those who wish to sign the family's guest register and pay their respects.
