Linda Wheeler Peacock, 73, of Ashburn passed away on September 10, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

Linda was born on December 24, 1947 in Valdosta, GA to the late William Richard and Cora Bullington Wheeler. She was currently employed as a teacher in the Turner County School System for over 20 years. Prior to becoming a teacher she was a cosmetologist for more than 30 years. She owned and operated Linda’s Haircare. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Her favorite role in life was being a Nana.

She is survived by her son, Jason (Kimberly) Peacock of Acworth and a daughter, Rebekah Peacock of Perry; brothers, David (Vicki) Wheeler of Ashburn and Larry (Carene) Wheeler of Irwinville; grandchildren, Kailey, Carter, and Mallory Peacock of Acworth.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Wideman, and an infant sister, Delores Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Turner County Civic Center in Ashburn. Graveside services will be private.

A face covering and maintenance of social distancing is required for everyone in attendance. While flowers will be accepted, those who wish may make donations to the Turner County School System for children’s literacy.
