Lillis Beasley Lavender, 93, of Ashburn passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.

Lillis was born on September 30, 1927 in Turner County to the late Henry Grady and Pinky Jane Fountain Beasley. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Lillis loved to fish and enjoyed cooking for her family. During her time at Pruitt Healthcare she enjoyed playing Bingo and especially enjoyed when she would win.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (James) Pate of Cordele; sons, Allen (Ann) Lavender of Ashburn, Jerry (Janice) Lavender of Ashburn and Cedric (Sharon) Lavender of Pitts; sister, Virginia Pate of Ashburn; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren with two additional great-great grandchildren to be born soon.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd E. Lavender, daughter, Celia Hammock and her siblings, Johnny Beasley, Lillian Bass, Laverne Smith and Janie Pate.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 23, 2021 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

A face covering is recommended for everyone in attendance.
