William Milton “Billy” Hawkins passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Pruitt Health Care Home. Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was the son of the late Milton Joseph Hawkins and Ovell Keasler Hawkins. He was born December 24, 1931 in Chattooga County, GA. Mr. Hawkins had various jobs during his lifetime. He was a graduate of Ashburn High School and served in the U. S. Navy for 12 years. He was a member of Hatley Methodist Church, Hatley, GA and founder of Deep Creek Chapter of Georgia A.B.A.T.E. He enjoyed Daytona Bike Fest and Sturgis and was an avid Harley Davidson Rider.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Hawkins, Ashburn, GA; his sisters, Betty Hawkins Pugh, Knoxville, TN and Norma Hawkins Adkison, Albany, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Hawkins Almand.
