Marvin Joe Davis, 88, of Ashburn passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his residence.
Joe was born on November 17, 1932 in Sumter to the late Baskel and Mamie Wallace Davis. He was a Christian and Owner of Davis Mobile Home Park.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Parker-Davis of Ashburn; sons, Rickey Eugene (Sue) Davis of Ashburn and Rickey Marvin Davis of Ashburn; daughter, Tammy Faye Davis of Cordele; grandchildren, Teresa Faye (Bobby) Manders, Michael Marvin Davis, Jr. and Christopher (Kathie) Hollerson; great-grandchildren, Braydon Lane (Charlie) Rountree, Bradley Lamar Manders, Josie Faye Manders, Libby Lee Manders, Michael Marvin Davis III and Sofie Hollerson.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery. For those who wish to sign the family's guest register and pay their respects may do so Friday, February 12, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Due to the threat of inclement weather the funeral service for Marvin Joe Davis will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at PERRY FUNERAL CHAPEL. Social distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced, masks will be required and seating for friends will be limited.
