Robert Lee Nutt, Jr., 66, of Rochelle passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Robert was born on April 17, 1954 in Turner County to the late Robert Lee Sr. and Sallie Monteen Pate Nutt. He was a member of Arp Missionary Baptist Church in Irwinville. He enjoyed fishing and loved outdoor cooking. Robert was known for sitting in his swing and waving at neighbors as they passed by. He enjoyed life but especially loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Nutt of Rochelle; son, Matthew (Kim) Nutt of Ashburn; daughter, Michelle Proffitt of Abbeville; siblings, Jerry, Billy, Gary, Imogene, Floralee, Mary Jane and Patricia; grandchildren, Shelby, Skylar, Wyatt, Sebastien, Addison, Ansleigh, Andee and Alanee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, J. R. Nutt.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Snowridge Cemetery. Social distancing rules will be strictly enforced and masks are required.
