Mary Frances Goff

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Frances Fortson Goff, 78, of Ashburn, GA will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Goff passed away Monday at Tift Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness.

The daughter of the late William Jasper and Marcus Adele Lamb Fortson, she was born in Turner Co. where she lived most of her life. A member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church she loved quilting, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Easter Ellis Goff.

Survivors include her children Mary Jane Rigsby of Camden, TN.; Jo Ann Cook of Vienna, GA.; Dorothy Sue Ellerbee of Ashburn, GA.; her brothers, Charlie Fortson of Flowery Branch, GA.; Hardy Fortson of Wadley, AL.; Royce Fortson of Jackson, GA; her sisters, Annie Bonds of Morrow, GA. and Inez Calhoun of Griffin, GA.; Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven till nine at Perry Funeral Chapel.
