Ruth B. Duel, 86, of Ashburn passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton.
Ruth was born on October 18, 1933 in Bath, New York to the late Merlyn and Louise Shults Bunting. She was a member of Avoca Methodist Church and a retired bookkeeper for Pirrung Autioneers. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting. She also made crocheted specialty items for premature babies. Ruth loved gardening as well.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (David) Gamet of Ashburn and Phyllis (Stephen) Howe of Webster, New York; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Carl Gamet and a grandchild, Kennedy Charles Howe.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
