Herman Wilson, 71, of Rebecca passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Herman was born on August 6, 1948 in Rebecca to the late George Benjamin and Sarah Frances Ivey Wilson. He was a member of Rebecca Baptist Church and served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his sister, Deena (David) French of Madison, Alabama; brothers, George B. (Lorraine) Wilson, Jr. of Warner Robins, Hiram Wilson of Rebecca and William G. Wilson of Statesboro.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Peggy W. Coleman, Berma Faye W. Gibbs, Annie Merle W. Etheridge, Marie W. McCard, Wally M. Wilson, Doris Averitt and Wendell Wilson.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca. The family will greet friends Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
