Funeral services for Benjamin Floyd Weaver, 76, of Sylvester, GA will be held Tuesday, December, 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, GA. Mr. Weaver passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. Interment will follow at Moultrie City Cemetery, Moultrie, GA at 2:00 p.m.

The son of the late James Henry Weaver and Tennie Cleveland Weaver, he was born in Moultrie, GA. He was a truck driver for Wingate Trucking and member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Club. He was of Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his first wife of 38 years, Dorothy Plymel Weaver and a son, Benjamin Weaver, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Janie L. Weaver, Sylvester, GA; two daughters, Patricia (Kenny) Newberry, Moultrie, GA and Debbie (Shorty) Hughes, Ashburn, GA.; three sons, James Allen (Cynthia) Wininger, Sylvester, GA; Robert Lee Winginger, Sylvester, GA; Thomas Wininger, Sylvester, GA; one sister, Lorene Parker, Sylvester, GA; five grandchildren, K. J. (Lacey) Newberry, Cody (Heather) Hughes, Wesley Hughes, Andalina “Ruthie” Wininger, Thomas Wininger, Jr. and great-grandchild, Conner Newberry, as well as a large number of other grand and great-grands. He was looking forward to the birth of another great- grandchild by Cody (Heather) Hughes in June, 2020.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
