Robert Henry Williams, Sr., 78, of Jacksonville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama.
Robert was born on November 24, 1940 in Tift County to the late Obe Maurice and Rilla Rae Suggs Williams. He was a retired Church of God Minister and was a member of the Church of God in Walnut Grove, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Williams of Jacksonville, Alabama; sons, Robert H. (Vena) Williams, Jr. of Ashburn, Edwin (Laurie) Williams of Ashburn and Scotty Williams of Ashburn; daughters, Sarah (Andrew) Mikkelsen of Altoona, Alabama, Kimberly (Steve) Blaisdell of Scottsboro, Alabama, Dee Dee (Stephen) Casey of Springville, Alabama, Stephanie (Mark) McGee of Scottsboro, Alabama and Judy Wilson of Athens, Alabama; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Freeman Williams, brothers, Larry Williams, Floyd Williams and Earl Williams and two granddaughters, Ashley Williams and Bobbie Anne Dunagan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of services at the funeral home.
