Joseph (T. J.) Farmer, 34, of Fitzgerald passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Joseph was born on May 17, 1985 in Ashburn to the late Timothy Earl Farmer and Loraine Smith Farmer. He worked as a mechanic for D & G Performance. He was also a member of the Baptist Faith. Joseph enjoyed working on mud trucks and going to mud bogs. He also loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed dancing.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Toni Farmer of Fitzgerald; 10 year old daughter, Chloe Farmer of Fitzgerald; grandmother, Dot Farmer of Ashburn; aunt, Michelle (Glen "Elmo") Pitts of Sycamore; cousins, Jenna (Austin) Petty and Dusti Pitts; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mark and Sandra Jones of Cordele; sister-in-law, Casey (Matt) Lunt of Cordele; nephew, Nicholas Lunt; nieces, Logan Lunt and Madison Lunt; mother, Loraine Farmer of Rebecca; sister, Desiree (Willie) McCoy of Rebecca.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Chloe Farmer College fund at Colony Bank.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
