Margaret Mary Moran Shivers, 81, of Tifton passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Margaret was born in West Port, Ireland on November 17, 1937 to the late Stanislaus and Kathryn O'Brian Moran. Margaret was an artist and was the first female to enroll in Oxford University. She was a member of our Devine Savior Catholic Church in Tifton and retired from the Turner County Board of Education where she was employed as a Paraprofessional.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Wilson of Tifton; brothers, Franco Moran of London, England and John Moran of London, England; sisters, Karmel Moran of London, England, Vera Moran of London, England and Michelle Moran of London, England; grandchildren, Jamie Katlan Wilson of Tifton and James Russell "Rusty" Wilson of Tifton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas "Red" Shivers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, September 20, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Turner County. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
