Coleta Thompson, 79, of Rebecca passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 at her residence.
Coleta was born on April 9, 1940 in Pierce County to the late Early and Eula McClellan. She was a retired teacher with the Tift County School System and was a member of the Rebecca Methodist Church. She was also president of the Girl Scout Council for several years.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Thompson of Rebecca; daughters, Sharon (Paul) Lord of Fitzgerald and Belinda (Mike) Orzada of Newark, Delaware; sons, Theron Wayne (Amber) Thompson of Villa Rica; sister, Marilyn Riechert of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Christin (Clint) Holley of Tifton, Cory (Jessica) Lord of High Point, North Carolina, Rachel (Ron) Elizondo of Tifton, Emily Orzada of Newark, Delaware, Kevin Orzada of Newark, Delaware and Madeline Thompson of Villa Rica; great-grandchildren, Easton Holley and Sawyer Thompson Lord.
A private, family only memorial service will be held at Perry Funeral Chapel at a later date.
