Barbara Ann Matthews, 74, of Ashburn passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at her residence.
Barbara was born on September 26, 1944 in Ashburn to the late Bobby Lee and Edna Roberts McNair. She was a retired nursing home administrator and a homemaker. She was also a member of Ward's Creek Baptist Church in Orange Park, Florida. Barbara, along with her husband Barry enjoyed traveling in their R.V. together.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Barry Matthews of Ashburn; daughter, Teresa Stanfield of Glenville; sons, Mike Gilliam of Gainesville, Florida, Tony Gilliam of Ashburn and Roger Gilliam of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; brother, Tommy (Gloria) McNair of Sylvester; grandchildren, Kera Anderson of Matthews, North Carolina, Amber Gilliam of Jacksonville, Florida, Carmen Bigalow of Glenville and Crissy Gilliam of Tamp, Florida.
A memorial service to honor Barbara's life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 AM until the hour of services.
